Aviation Partners Host Press Event to Announce Findings from Economic Analysis

Who: The Duluth International Airport and aviation partners, with:
Emily Larson – Mayor of Duluth
Brian Hanson – APEX
Sue Boudrie – Northern Aero Alliance (NAA)
Bill King – Cirrus
Mark Ketterer – AAR
Daniel Fanning – Lake Superior College
Tom Werner – Duluth International Airport

What: We are a region on the rise. See for yourself.
Aviation in the Northland continues to grow as a strong economic engine
for our region. Together, our region’s aviation partners will announce
findings from a 2017 Minnesota Department of Employment and
Economic Development (DEED) analysis, which shows the economic impact of
all aviation-related activities on our region. These findings will be presented
in relation to employment (both direct and indirect), along with value
added to the local economy as a whole, and personal income.

We are thankful for our aviation partners, companies and the Northern
Aero Alliance for the participation and information that was shared to
demonstrate the positive outcome.

Why: Compared with past research, a 2017 Minnesota DEED analysis shows
impressive growth and a positive future for both the aviation industry and the
place we live. This is an opportunity for our local community, business leaders
and legislators to celebrate their work and involvement in making us a region on
the rise.

Who Attends: Local business leaders, elected officials, legislators, aviation partners and press.

When: Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 10am

Where: 4960 Airport Rd, Duluth, MN 55811

The press conference will take place at the Lake Superior College Center
for Advanced Aviation building. Parking will be in the west lot and will be
marked by signage.

****Airfield photos will be available following the press conference by escort.
