DULUTH-SUPERIOR – NBC associates will be volunteering to help highlight how community banks give back to the communities in which they serve. Our efforts will be directed towards preserving Lake Superior and the various watersheds in our region.

On Tuesday, September 19, National Bank of Commerce associates will be volunteering on Wisconsin Point to help restore the beach area, making it suitable for the Piping Plover; a native bird of this region; to return and nest. Due to deteriorating beach conditions, the Piping Plover’s numbers are dwindling and the bird is becoming extinct to the area. We will be working alongside the St. Louis River Alliance and the City of Superior to make this project possible.

Reporters, photographers and videographers are welcome to cover this event.
