Ralston Promoted to President/CEO

(Hermantown, Minn.) Centricity Credit Union has announced Doug Ralston as its next President/CEO. Since joining the financial organization in 2002, Ralston has served numerous roles, most recently as Chief Operations Officer.

In the company’s top leadership position, Ralston is responsible for directing, planning and controlling all activities while ensuring financial stability and member satisfaction.

Ralston succeeds Scott Lundgren, who is retiring after a 33-year career within the credit union industry. Lundgren joined Centricity – previously Hermantown Federal Credit Union – in 2001.

“We are all extremely appreciative to Scott for the tremendous leadership he provided to guide us where we are today, and we wish him the very best in retirement,” Ralston said. “I’m looking forward to this new opportunity and continuing to serve our members and their financial needs.”

Ralston currently serves on the board of directors for the Hermantown Area Chamber of Commerce, Minnesota Credit Union Network Foundation, Arrowhead Chapter of Credit Unions and Servion Group.

About Centricity Credit Union

Celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, the credit union was founded in the Hermantown community in 1943. Originally serving members of the Duluth Homestead Association and patrons of the Hermantown Community Store, membership reached about 2,400 in 1965. Today, Centricity Credit Union now proudly serves nearly 18,000 members in St. Louis, Carlton, and Douglas Counties. With locations in Hermantown, Duluth, and Superior, Centricity is a financial institution of people helping people. In July 2017, the credit union officially changed its name from Hermantown Federal to Centricity. This name change was the result of a carefully strategic decision, designed to foster continued diversity and growth in the communities the credit union serves.
