Gunnar Johnson is an attorney with Overom Law. He has been practicing law in northeastern Minnesota for the past 27 years. He focuses on matters involving municipal law, business law, real estate development, non-profit law, and estate planning. He is also the Hermantown City Attorney and represents a number of townships and governmental entities in the region. He has served in the past as the Duluth City Attorney, an Assistant Minnesota Attorney General, and in private practice with the Clure Eaton Butler Law Firm.
Gunnar attended the University of Minnesota Duluth for his undergraduate degree and received his law degree from the American University in Washington, DC.
Gunnar enjoys hunting, fishing, local theater, and UMD athletics. One of Gunnar’s unique hobbies is dog mushing. He has run the Iditarod three times and has judged the John Beargrease Dog Sled Race many, many times.
Gunnar lives in Gnesen Township and has two daughters in college.
