Interested in board service? Members in good standing who are interested in serving on the board of directors need to submit a letter of intent to the chamber office before August 1st. A term is for 3 years, renewable for a second term. Our nominating committee assesses the needs of the board and reviews any letters of interest in early Fall.
Purpose of a Board of Directors:
- To govern based on documents and key information.
- To focus on the strategic direction, mission, and goals of the organization
- To support the organization with time, talent, and treasure
- Fiduciary duties
- To explore opportunities while being careful with resources
- To develop policies and procedures
- To manage risks
