Kimberly Parmeter, President & CEO

As the President & CEO of the Hermantown Area Chamber of Commerce, Kimberly works with business owners and community leaders each day to make the Hermantown Area the best place to live, work and play.

Kimberly earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Bethel University in Arden Hills, MN and is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Duluth with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Marketing & International Studies.  She is also a graduate of Leadership Duluth, a program of the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce.

Prior to her work at the Chamber, her background includes executive leadership with a variety of nonprofits where she’s raised millions of dollars for charitable causes, consulting with Convergent Nonprofit Solutions – an international consulting firm specializing in feasibility studies and capital campaigns. She’s also had an entire career in broadcasting, you’ll still occasionally hear her on regional TV and radio ads as well as corporate videos as a professional voice talent. She records and produces in her home studio to this day. She has also loved writing since she was a youth and plans to finish her book on nonprofit leadership before she retires!

Kimberly and her husband, Jim, reside in Midway Township with their two children and rescue pets.  Away from the office, she enjoys the outdoors having spent time almost every summer as a youth in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. She enjoys camping, kayaking, fishing, target shooting, and traveling as well as reading, writing, and being an amateur wine enthusiast!
