Mary Niemeyer

It is Mary’s first time serving on our Board of Directors.

Mary Niemeyer, a Saint Paul Minnesota Native, recently celebrated 40 years in Media Broadcast/Marketing Management.  She received her BA in Communications from Winona State University and went on to management roles at Southern Minnesota Broadcasting in Rochester Minnesota where she worked for 15 years. She was recruited by CBS Radio Minneapolis and returned to the Twin Cities to serve in numerous leadership roles that included General Manager of WCCO Radio and Senior Vice President CBS Minneapolis.  Following 11 years with CBS, Mary transitioned into outdoor advertising and managed billboard companies in La Crosse Wisconsin, Ames Iowa, Washington DC and Rochester Minnesota. In 2016 Townsquare Media, recruited Mary back to the radio broadcast industry to serve as Market President and Chief Revenue Officer for the Duluth Market.  Mary was recently promoted to Regional Vice President and now oversees operations for the Rochester, Faribault, Owatonna and Bismarck markets in addition to her home market in Duluth.

Throughout her career , Mary has served on many boards, including the Ronald McDonald House, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Minnesota Military Family Foundation, and Oktoberfest USA.  She held chairperson roles for the Minnesota Military Family Tribute, Alliance for Women in Media and Minnesota Broadcasters Association.  In addition, she served as the official Commodore of the Minneapolis Aquatennial. 

Mary and Michael have two adult children, Emily and Matthew, who live in the Twin Cities. She and her husband have been living in Hermantown since 2017 and they could not be more in love with the region and local community.
