My family and I have been involved in the Hermantown community for a long time, but recently built a home and moved into the community in 2018. We have absolutely loved being a part of this community and having our roots here was important to us. My husband, Scott, and I have 3 kids. Our older two are very involved in athletics so we spend a bulk of our time being cheerleaders for baseball/softball in the summer months and hockey/basketball in the winter months.
My husband also works for Reliable in the commercial department, so we are able to hang out all the time, which is very fun for the both of us. I have been a part of the commercial insurance department for many years. I truly enjoy the stories of all my clients and never take it lightly that they are allowing me to be a part of that story and help protect what they have worked so hard to build!
I am excited to join the Hermantown chamber to get even more involved in the community and to help bring support to the others involved in our chamber. We have enjoyed our partnership as a business with the Chamber and I am very much looking forward to giving some of that support back to others in our community!
I am an advertising sales manager with over 38 years of experience in publishing and media marketing.
My work has allowed me to help businesses achieve their goals, through marketing plans, and I am proud to have played a part in their success. I am committed to my profession and will continue to help businesses to grow. I care a lot about my clients and strive to improve my skills in that area. The truth be told, I love my job, it’s challenging, exciting, rewarding, and always everchanging.
I am a native Duluthian and a graduate of Duluth Central High School. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Minnesota Duluth. I have been married for 36 years and I am an identical twin!
Bill is a graduate of St Cloud State University with a double major in Political Science and Public Administration. After graduation, and marrying his wife, Mary, he worked in the public sector for twelve years before joining Cirrus Aircraft, a then small kit-aircraft designer with big dreams of growing into a certified aircraft manufacturer. Bill was instrumental in growing Cirrus Aircraft into a worldwide leader in the aerospace market, where they are now the world’s largest single aircraft manufacturer. Retired from Cirrus in 2022, he now represents his company Sky King Tactical on the board of directors.
Bill is married and enjoys time spent with his two daughters and their husbands as well as his four grandchildren. He is an active commercial-rated pilot and enjoys all types of outdoor activities including camping, fishing, hiking, and canoeing but has a passion for business development and is a strong advocate for the local business scene and the work of “his” Hermantown Area Chamber of Commerce!
Being a part of our local Chamber and growing the influence and strength of the local businesses is something that stems from deep within his DNA and he draws energy from working hard to help local businesses thrive and grow. Bill believes that “the strength of any community is found in its ability to support the economics of their region by large and small businesses alike, and the creation of meaningful jobs in every town.” His passion serves to help our Chamber impact every member of the community as a whole by adding power to our local businesses!
Kim and the Hermantown Chamber have been absolutely amazing! I feel that they genuinely want to get to know me and my business and help me grow. I would absolutely recommend membership to any area business that wants to get noticed in Hermantown and beyond!
Thank you. I have to say—there are no words to describe how grateful I am for all the support the Hermantown residents & businesses.
